Inspired by the Metropolitan Opera's production of fairytale Hansel & Gretel, with Cole and Garfield playing the lost siblings and Lady Gaga acting as the witch.
Photographed by the legendary Annie Leibovitz, this pictorial generated serious buzz courtesy of it featuring model Lily Cole, actor Andrew Garfield & fashion extremist Lady GaGa. I feel that the perfectionist touches added by Vogue's resident style guru Grace Coddington was the key to what really made the shoot stand out! The endless flattery that has been directed at Coddington in the wake of the premier of The September Issue has been fully justified in the light of yet another striking & majestic editorial.
