This is a picture of me and my 2 besties in front of the Arc De Triomphe in Barcelona, where we were on one of our holidays this summer as well as some time spent in Frankfurt & Biarritz..... it has to be done ;) We rented a cool little apartment in the centre of the city, in the trendy area of El Born which has so many great little cafes, bars & boutiques. Even in one week, it still wasn't enough time to venture into them all. As I visit Barcelona so often I like to spend less time sampling the conventional & the expected and try to explore the hidden, the unique and the authentic, in a way that only a local could.
Here are a few of my favourite finds during my trip:
1. Passeig del Born: The whole El Born area actually & The Gothic Quarter 2. CDLC Beach Bar: For pure luxury after a day on the beach 3. Lunch at Bar Salvador: Neon lit & noisy
4. La Vinya Del Senyor: If the window-facing table upstairs is free, this is as cute as Barcelona gets. 5. La Terrazza: The perfect open-air summer clubbing venue
Well I hope you enjoyed the 'Day In The Life...' posts for the past 7 days & got a little bit more of an insight into the behind the scenes of RoCkInFaShIoN.
my best friend, my traveling companion, my creative muse, my roomie, she is fun, beautiful, intelligent & witty, my rock who is there for me no matter what, she is adventurous, an adrenaline junkie, lover of snowboarding & all things mountainous, great at taking a cleverly artistic photo, loves her bike & her chocolate ;)
she is uber kind with the biggest heart, brave & brilliant in every way....
Australia is by far one of the most amazing places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.
I absolutely fell head over heels in love with the country, its extreme environments & of course who can falter their beach lifestyle!! I traveled the length & breadth of the country with my sister & friend in our trusty lil campervan, meeting so many great personalities along the way as well as seeing some of the most amazing beaches, national parks, sunrises, sunsets & national treasures that I will never forget.
The ocean, sunsets & beaches are some of my biggest fascinations in life & I took endless photos of all three throughout my travels. Whenever I look back in nostalgia at my traveling photographs they always remind me of the amazing time I spent there, therefore it proved very difficult to choose just one.... & so there were three.
The first one was taken at Sunshine beach in Noosa (eastern Australia), the second @ Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grande National Park (southern Australia) & the third photo was taken in Monkey Mia (western australia)
With both my brothers now living in Barcelona, you'll find me there at least 2-3 times a year & counting at this stage.
Whenever I'm there it is constant laughter from beginning to end with the mixture of holiday giddiness, my brothers never ending tomfoolery & well.... more of the both put together really :)
I took this photo of my brother & his fabulous fiancé Sandra when we were literally just in the door from the airport & whenever I look at this photo it reminds me of yet another hilarious time in Barca... Fun Times!!!
Here is me with my best friend - Martina - whom unfortunately for me lives in Frankfurt, Germany so I don't get to see her lovely, smiley self as much as I'd like. This pic was taken when I went to visit her this summer, in what is slowly becoming my favourite haunt in Frankfurt called: Schoneberger. A really funky, chilled out tavern & bar: My kinda place...
You definitely have to hit Schoneberger if you are ever in the vicinity & the bar men ain't bad either ;)
I know fashion blogs are supposed to be all about your fashion musings as well as some of your own personal style so as to give the readers a little sense of connection with the blogger, yada yada yaa.... & if you are a regular visitor on RoCkiNFaShIoN, well then it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that I am not necessarily the 'most' comfortable of ladies in front of the camera.
Sooooo therefore I have decided to do things a little differently this week with the help from Laura of blog Une Poupee.
As of from Monday October 18th I will be posting on my blog once a day for the next 7 days, where I will try to give you a slightly more insightful & personal peep into my life!
If there are any fellow bloggers reading this please feel free to follow suit... tis a little bit of fun ;)
Here is my agenda.....
Day 1. your facebook profile photo Day 2. a photo that makes you laugh Day 3. a photo that makes you happy Day 4. a photo of someone you love Day 5. a photo of you & your friends Day 6. a photo of the last place you went on holiday Day 7. a photo of yourself a year ago The End
