// Orla Kiely \\
 Back to the 60's

I fell in love with Orla Kiely's collection when me & my friends stumbled upon her Spring/Summer 2010 presentation in Somerset House at London Fashion Week.
It was the perfect setting with a great view of the sun clad Thames from one balcony  & overlooking the buzz of LFW's BFC tent in the grand setting of the Somerset courtyard from the other. Along with flowing champagne, yummy chocolate cakes & the S/S 2010 collection to excitedly peek through I was undoubtedly in my element.
The collection I felt was very much 60's inspired consisting of the typical Orla prints, the cuts of the clothing were as beautiful as ever. As well as all that the collection was also shown via video on an uber cool huge 'retro' television set.
Have a peek at the magnificent presentation below:

// Preppy Pleats & Breton Tees \\

(My style crush of the moment Olivia Palermo on celebrity-gossip.net , Trendstop.com, Blanaid.com)

 My own take on the pleat/breton style - Vintage yellow pleated skirt, white brogues frm Camden Market spray painted silver, teamed with French Connections breton style tee, leather satchel from Sunday Market Brick lane, London & of course my Clubmaster Raybans - for the perfect stylishly cute relaxed preppy look

Give me Breton style mixed with shoulder pads & I'm yours!!!
 I just bought Topshops take on the Breton style jumper with the shoulder pads for the modern effect.
I intend for it to keep me stylishly warm this winter & will be teaming it with my black skinny's (also from Topshop) & awesome cut off boots for the Balmain look that I adore so so much.

// Behind the scenes \\

I came across these images at the Dazed Digital Lady Gaga video shoot which I just Love!

Lady gaga I think is someone people either love or hate when it comes both to her music & her extremely audacious style.
I must admit she kind of irritated me @ 1st but slowly she is becoming a style icon in her own right & been recognized for her captivating/entertaining personal style in the fashion as well as the music world. Constantly pushing the boundaries with her bold choices of styles, most memorable being her outfits of choice for the recent VMA's where she managed to get every fashionista's tongue wagging at her incredibly kooky ensembles.
Dazed & Confused - it's founding editors being Jefferson Hack & Rankin - is one of Britains most notable style magazines covering topics that include music, fashion, art & film.
With a reputation for celebrity portraiture, inventive graphic design and an inspirational fashion team attracting cover stars such as Bjork, Pharrel, Radioheads Thom Yorke & Jarvis Cocker, it is a testament in itself that Dazed Digital have exclusively premiered an inspiring collaboration between Lady Gaga and fashion filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson, displaying a very different side to this year's most exhilarating pop phenomenon.
