I wondered into A|wear on my lunch break the other day & walked upstairs to find myself been transported into a nostalgic vintage heaven. The shop is beautifully decorated with a profusion of hanging antique chandeliers & open antique wardrobes with an array of floaty, soft, romantic garments draping out from within.
An irresistible romantic mis-match of bygone styles that you absolutely must check out either in-store if  you're living in the UK or Ireland or on their webpage here!

Here are two of my most recent purchases from their New 'Antique' Collection!!!

Ivory grecian style dress: € 40

Romantic soft pink cutwork ebony tunic dress € 40

// THAT HOLIDAY FEELING \\

Bonjour!
I'm just back from holidaying in Biarritz in the South of France.
10 days filled with plenty of sugar & spice n all things nice!!!
So now that I am back all sun-kissed, relaxed and ready to delve back into consistent blogging again, I thought what better way to ease myself back in then with a few images that there are no real rhyme or reason to.... just some images I like that I hope you will like too :)

I don't tend to like many of the 80's revival fashion trends that have come back around but I did get excited during a recent stroll through Urban Outfitters to discover that brand new jelly shoes are yours (or mine) for the buying. These are the classic design - straight out of the 80s, no updating to make it cool by today's terms.
It totally brought upon a serious case of fashion nostalgia from when I was a little girl on holidays in France, wearing my sparkly pink jellies with everything & anything I could get away with.
Been an 80's child I have nothing but fond memories of my Jelly shoes, or jellies as they were also called, made entirely of PVC plastic. They always came in the biggest array of colors and the material were frequently infused with glitter, what more could a little girl ask for :)

But apart from being so cute I find that they are far more practical to wear in Irish weather than pumps.
I am officially over the pump trend. With our unpredictable Irish weather, they are the opposite of practical.
You feel every god forsaken lump, bump & stone on the ground & if it rains even in the slightest bit they will soak right through in a matter of seconds & will stay that way for the remainder of the day!
I'm sure many of you fellow Irish Cailín will agree with me on this one....

Anywho with my rant about pumps out of the way, here are a few pics of the re-invented noughties version of jellies that I picked up recently in River Island. I love them.... they are uber comfortable, weather durable & the pretty embellishment gives them such a cute little twist.
My next purchase is definitely going to be the more luxurious Melissa & Vivienne Westwood collaboration 'Ultra Girl Bow Jelly Shoe' as well as a classic 'straight out of the 80s' pair of course.

// EASY LIKE A SUNDAY MORNING \\

This seems like the first weekend in so so long where I have had NO plans & lots of free Time....
Time to do whatever I like, be that catching up with friends (which actually I always make time for so lets rephrase that to spending even more time with friends), catching up on reading from my ever growing pile of books in the corner of my bedroom as well as my Vogues, Elles etcera, or to devote solely just to messing around & doing nothing whatsoever.

With the rest of my life been so structured of late.... from studying to work to a gruelling new summer fitness regimes (a necessity now that we are slowly coming out of hibernation & beginning to bare our pasty white skin again). I just felt like doing a post with no structure to it WHATSOEVER, no rhyme nor reason...
From pics I love to images that have been lying around in my folder for forever or quotes that have inspired me in some shape or form!!!

So without further adieu..... & most importantly enjoy your browsing on this sunny Sunday morning :)

Ok I could just keep going & going where posting images is concerned so I better just stop while I'm ahead...
