When I have the time, I love to have a good peep through the V&A's (London's infamous Victoria & Albert museum) fashion section on their website. I came across this special section where you can literally 'Glamourise' your wall with their pick of fab chic and elegant black and white photography from the 50s and 60s, by the legendary fashion photographer John French.
Here are few that I can definitely visualise sprinkled throughout my future apartment xoxo

// SHABBY CHIC \\

Definition of Shabby

Showing conspicuous signs of wear or neglect:
Wearing worn clothes or having a slovenly or unkempt appearance: a shabby person.

**This post was inspired from the result of my waking up (slightly) late for work this morning, rushing around trying to get ready at 'Edward Cullen' speed. Therfore shabby chic pretty much depicts the style I left the house in this morning - hopefully more chic than shabby though ;)**

// 5 FASHION EVENTS - ONE MONTH \\

5 Of The Hottest Fashion Events On In Dublin This Month

With the end of the college year in sight, it's times for the most exciting events on the Dublin University calendars to take place - The Fashion Shows!!!
DCU is the first to host their 2010 Fashion Show, it's core theme being 'The Edge of Industry'.
This edgy, student run extravaganza will see an original and theatrical take on fashion. It will explore and exhibit fashion through an industrial and gothic view.

The show, run by DCU Style Society, will feature the 'Young Designer' competition, where Irish student fashion designers battle it out on stage with their original costumes to claim the coveted title of DCU Young Designer of the Year. This is a show not to be missed & I've already got my ticket.
It's on in The Mahony Hall in DCU tonight from 8pm. If you want to buy tickets (a bit last minute I know), you can do so here: http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase
But if you can't make it, don't worry as I will be writing a full report on who won to who's the 'One To Watch' & will hopefully have some street style pics to spoil you with too xoxo

The DIT Alfa Romeo Fashion Show takes place this Wednesday 24th March.
I have a fond place in my heart for this particular show, as I had modeled in the fashion show when i was a DIT student.
The show, which has a “Rock Revolution” theme this year, is now in its seventh year and is run entirely by students from DIT.
It will be held in the idyllic venue in Dublin's City Centre, that is Vicar Street.
Tickets for the DIT Fashion Show cost €20 for students and €25 for non students and are available from DIT Student Union shop and from Tickets.ie

Now in its seventh year, on March 24th the Nokia Young Fashion Designer Award (NYFDA) is the premier student design award in Ireland. The competition is part of the curriculum in many of the leading colleges across the country, as it offers final year fashion and design students an opportunity to showcase their talent and gain industry recognition. Previous winners have gone on to work within the fashion industry & every year what I look forward to most is to see whom the guest judges will be. Previous predecessors been style blogger extraordinaire, Suzie Bubble & this year the one I am most excited about is Yvan Rodic of the legendary street style blog, Face Hunter.

From Thursday 25th March to Sunday 28th, there will also be an exhibition held in the old Circus Store in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. This 4 day event will also give visitors the chance to attend a number of talks and events over the few days & for those fashion savvy among you who currently live in Dublin - THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

We all get those lazy days where when we get out of bed, we just can't muster up the energy to pristine-ise our hair to the likes of 'Olivia Palermo' standards.
So if I was EVER to have a good lazy hair day (if there is such a thing), where I was fortunate enough to fall out of bed first thing in the morning with the perfect 'lazy hair', this is exactly what I would like it to look like!!!

Ps. Happy Friday :)

Was having a peek through the Monsoon lookbook for Spring/ Summer 2010 the other day & came across an array of gorgeous dresses, cardigans, accessories, trilbies you name it.
One thing  I do love about Monsoon is that they don't follow the crowd in the winter months by going down the dark, gloomy, unilluminated colours route most high street stores safely opt for.
I have picked out this great dress (& my personal fave) that could take you from mid-afternoon tea party (worn with pretty pair of sandals), to a festival (worn with biker boots) right through to a summer wedding (worn with a pair of Killer Heels).
Below is my perfect mid-afternoon tea party ensemble, just to wet your appetite for some more of my take on this seasons killer summer outfits to come xoxo
