I've been slinking around the house all day in my cut-off denim shorts and baggy tee combo and after looking through my wardrobe for a possible outfit to wear out tonight, I decided to keep with my trusty cut-offs & team them with a sheer black blouse, selection of long gold chains & of course a pair of my sky high Topshop ankle boots to perfectly complete my transition from day to eveningwear.

It got me thinkin of how shorts really are one of the most faultless staple pieces of apparel for your summer wardrobe as they are fantastically versatile & you can effortlessly bring them from day to night and back to daywear again.....
After a lazy morning spent indulging in coffee and browsing through LOOKBOOK.nu here are a few of my favourite posts that all have one common denominator - Shorts!!!

Hit the surf and clubs in style this summer with one of my favourite collaborations of the season offering both functional and glam pieces - all of which I love.
The collection - released in spring - consists of brilliant flashes of fluoro pop against pastel coloured wetsuits, swimsuits and surf-inspired clothing such as neoprene body-con pieces like the gorgeous neoprene pencil skirt, accessories, ballet flats, oversized double-knit hoodie and leather sandals with giant silk tassels.

Perfect for embracing your inner surf chick!
Now to the beach....

Giving pretty the harder edge this summer donning pretty floral dresses teamed with bulky biker boots & soft leather jackets.
Perfect for bringing you through the unpredictable summer that is Ireland, oh & a style to definitely rock at this season's festivals of course.

Was having a peek through the Monsoon lookbook for Spring/ Summer 2010 the other day & came across an array of gorgeous dresses, cardigans, accessories, trilbies you name it.
One thing  I do love about Monsoon is that they don't follow the crowd in the winter months by going down the dark, gloomy, unilluminated colours route most high street stores safely opt for.
I have picked out this great dress (& my personal fave) that could take you from mid-afternoon tea party (worn with pretty pair of sandals), to a festival (worn with biker boots) right through to a summer wedding (worn with a pair of Killer Heels).
Below is my perfect mid-afternoon tea party ensemble, just to wet your appetite for some more of my take on this seasons killer summer outfits to come xoxo
