I haven't done a FFFFOUND! post in some time now so I feel it is very deserved of  place in today's lazy Monday evening slot. Instead of doing a session at the gym as twas planned, i have opted for a lazy Monday evening of browsing through my fave imagery website FFFFOUND! Honestly I could do this all day everyday, it is as addictive as well.... kissing is as good an example as any ;) Literally you click into one image & see another so click into that one then it just spirals totally out of control & the next thing you know it is 3 hours later.... woopsy!
But it is a world of truly inspirational imagery that I would highly recommend visiting but only if you have the time because as I mentioned earlier you are guaranteed to spend waaaaay more time on it than planned - you have been Warned!!!

// THE ITALIAN GODDESS \\

Giovanna Battaglia & her flawless style can do no wrong in my eyes.
She used to be a fitting and runway model for Dolce & Gabbana and now she is a fashion editor for L'Uomo Vogue. I always love this time of year where all your fave fashionista's come out in their droves attending all of the fabulous shows & parties donning the most prodigious of attire. There are inspirational street style pics a plenty & here are just a few of my personal 'best-loves'....

Mila Kunis for W Magazine

These are photos from deserving cover model 'Black Swan' star Mila Kunis’s W Magazine cover shoot, photographed by Craig McDean for the March issue. The Spring Fashion Issue is due to hit the stands on February 25th.
The Ukrainian-born actress dons a feathered and sheer cover-up with a pink lace bra and super smoky-eye makeup.
Doesn't she look amazing!!!

Alexander McQueen ready to wear collection spring 2011 by Sarah Burton at Paris Fashion Week

Here is my pick of the best pieces in order of theme & catwalk sequence!!!

The collection in one word: Breathtaking

{Inspiration: The Jellyfish}

{ Inspiration: The Pheasant}

{Inspiration: The Swan}

The most anticipated show of Paris Fashion Week was Alexander McQueen.
The first by the late designers protégée Sarah Burton whom certainly did not disappoint with an impressive collection featuring wheat sheaf dresses, feather gowns & finale music that left the audience very emotional.
Inevitably successor Sarah Burtons style was compared to the late designer McQueen, Style.com quoting, "Where his narratives were often dark, discomfiting things, she opted for a nurturing atmosphere: a pagan, Earth-Mother-ly spirit."
I still definitely saw McQueen's characteristics incorporated into the collection throughout which is not a surprise as Sarah worked beside McQueen for 15 years & clearly had a symbiotic connection to his very particular vision.

There was a monochromic theme to start & steadily took on the evolutionary theme by nature: with certain pieces comprising of nature inspired colours, patterns & detailing such as leaves of black leather & enveloping masses of feathers as seen in the 2nd last image above.

The last three pieces especially blew me away into fashion nirvana.... I immediately thought they were inspired from three different feathered & ocean friends within nature: A pheasant, A Jellyfish & A Swan but that's just me!!!

// THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE \\

Sunday morning lie-ins, rays of sunshine, snuggling up in new crisp sheets, stars, balloons, the feeling of sunshine on your skin, kissing, butterflies (of the tummy kind), friends, lots of twinkling lights, dressing up, new shoes, finishing something that's still unfinished, a great vintage find, beautiful fabrics, being inspired by something/someone when least expected, sunsets, weekends away, taking photos, layers upon layers of tulle, long warm summer evenings, compliments... giving & receiving, a tidy bedroom, celebrating the successes of your friends & family & seeing them happy, coffee & croissants in the morning, lace, beaches, blue skies, dreaming, white fluffy clouds, listening to music, the McDreamy's of the world, letting go, holidays, beautiful imagery, chocolate & laughing ALOT....

“I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be the sun... in somebody else's sky.”
Isak Dinesen

Also I just want to take this opportunity to say a BIG congratulations to my good friend Elaine for getting the stellar job in London, that she undoubtedly deserves.
We are all So proud of you hun & will miss you way way more than you realise.
