Who would have thought that polka dot & leopard print would look so good together!!!

This is one of those combinations that if mentioned in conversation, at first thought, the pairing just wouldn't sound right together. 

But when the two are constructed in the most simplistic yet sophisticated way it then all begins to makes sense.

One of my newest past-times is jewellery designing, very basic I might add while I am starting off.

All materials sourced in Barcelona & I'm making a trip back over there in a couple of weeks so I can stock up on material for the Christmas season. It is an exciting new project & I hope to set up a separate page with all my pieces for you to view & purchase any of my pieces if you like what you see.

Here is one piéce de resistance that I made yesterday.

'one woman's trash is an others TREASURE'

For those of you who may be looking for a quick shopping fix this weekend but simply cannot afford to until payday, Fear Not! Swap Till You Drop is a brand new, fun & smart one-day fashion event in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association which will be taking place in the uber trendy music venue, The Workman's Club, tomorrow Sunday November 7th.

If your wardrobe is anything like mine all you will have to do is have a good rummage through your over-loaded wardrobe today & pick out all those clothes, shoes & accessories that have literally been gathering dust - be it never-been worn impulse buys, unwanted gifts to one-wear wonders etc. - & swap them for pieces in your size.

I've been to a few events like these before & have come out with some absolute gems such as a Pinko grey leather jacket & barely been worn Topshop shoes to name a few. I for one am giddily excited about tomorrows prospect of acquiring some new apparel in exchange for the old.... let treasure hunt commence ;)

I'm going to try gather a few my girlies & make a day of it.... hopefully we will see you there xoxo

I have always had a mini fascination with the flawless style and epically, astonishingly beautiful Ms. Chung, "a slightly awkward, almost kittenish sort of gorgeousness, all long limbs, wide eyed and messily bobbed hair'' is how they put it in the November Elle article.

After reading the magazine from front to back and back to front again, this shoot of Alexa is by far my favourite.

Here are some interesting facts that we find out about Alexa from the Elle interview:

- She lives between London & New York with her RoCk StaR boyfriend Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys.

- Her neighbours are her best friends & fellow models Agyness Deyn and Daisy Lowe

 - Her style icon is Alison Mosshart from The Kills

- She's a vegetarian & she doesn't do fur

- She does not use the help of a stylist

- Her favourite designer is Isabel Marant

In my eyes she can never put a stylish foot wrong & I especially love how she never over glamourises her outfits. As they very aptly put in the ELLE article; "her style is a pleasingly unpredictable blend of the classic, the boyish, the hip, and the off-kilter. Her signature look usually involving 2 or more of the following: loafers, socks, stripes, peter-pan collars, leather, satchels, a bit of print and maybe some denim. "

Do some people just plain & simply have it all: the looks, the charisma, the career, the rock star boyfriend, the style, the glamourous lifestyle...... I think so & Alexa is 100% proof xoxo
