Vogue Italia 'Show Time' January 2010

Karlie Kross lands her second front cover for Vogue Italia. But this is not a typical Vogue cover, this is a particularly ingenious one. 

Although it's not the first time we have seen this type of photo shoot (L'Officiel Singapore did a similar take on 'The Falling Model' in their March 2009 issue). It is the first time I have seen it portrayed on a front cover & on Italian Vogue at that (which is dubbed the least commercial of all editions of Vogue magazine & has been called the top fashion magazine in the world).

We are all aware of the standard fashion mag front cover consisting of flawless models, draped in designer clothes, styled & accessorized around the theme of the magazine. So I find it very refreshing that Vogue Italia decided to do a really clever take on the madness of the runway & in depicting so well the unpredictable nature of fashion and fashion shows. I would also like to take my hat off to Karlie for her acting abilities, as each fall looks very believable.

After acting out every models worst nightmare, lets hope Karlie hasn't jinxed herself. I know I will definitely be keeping a close eye on her when she hits the runways for the upcoming fashion weeks.
